I have been fascinated by magic since I was a child. My parents and I went to a stand at a market where a magician had many tricks for sale. We had to buy a trick in order to learn the secret. They bought me a paddle stick that I mastered and used for years! I was beyond excited to take this course and Dave Thomen was an incredible instructor. Not only was he knowledgeable, but very kind and charismatic, even through a computer screen! His videos were entertaining, educational and really well produced. Each one focused on history, theory and overall presentation rather than just showing off his magic. I learned many tricks in this course and on a side note, I lost my magic paddle stick at some point and have spent years trying to find it. Dave found it for me and also contacted the dealer and explained that I was a new student, so I also received a free gift!
